Photography by vangelis picture stathis zalidis notes most of the music contained in this album originates from recordings i made in london in 1982 whilst working on the score for the film blade runner. 180 gram vinyl records are heavier and thicker than the old standard vinyl records which means it is less prone to warping. Similar to vangelis blade runner but this version has a mould sid code. Similar to vangelis blade runner but the club info on the rear artwork is different.

In blade runner we are immersed in 2019 los angeles. While i prefer the fuller and more extended blade runner soundtrack this vinyl sounds amazing. Except for a few cuts on the themes compilation it had never been released on vinyl or cd although there was an orchestral version of the score. I urge you to listen to this on headphones in a dark room with your eyes closed.

But in 1994 12 years after vangelis composed the dark edgy soundtrack to director ridley scott s archetypal science fiction thriller the music of blade runner came out in all its cybernoir glory. This is the second pressing the original pressing was on 180 grm red transparent vinyl. Pictures and the blade runner partnership. Finding myself unable to release these recordings at the time it is with great pleasure that i am able to do so now.
